Originally a small organization founded in 1950, Peninsula Family Service has grown to recognize the need for innovative, professionally-led, locally-targeted solutions to secure the wellness and stability of our neighbors. The community has rallied behind this mission, providing fundraising support and volunteers to establish and grow expert-led programs. |
| Mission: | Peninsula Family Service strengthens our community by providing children, families, and older adults the support and tools to realize their full potential and lead healthy, stable lives. |
| Programs: | Early Learning Changing lives by providing high-quality, innovative early learning, and helping parents nurture their children’s development during the critical first five years. Financial Empowerment Changing lives by empowering individuals to take control of their financial futures. Older Adult Services Changing lives by providing opportunities for older individuals in our community to connect and thrive. Senior Community Employment Program Limited opportunities for unemployed, low-income, older adults (55 years or older) to receive part-time community service assignments. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list pending possible assignments with non-profit or government agencies to help them improve their job skills and experience through on-the-job training. |
