| Description: | Each week the Center is used by hundreds of people from the County, including members and non-members, for activities, events, classes, meetings and gardening. The activities include: Bingo, Body Strengthening, Book Club, Bridge, Canasta, Dominoes, East Coast Swing Dance Lessons, Gift Shop, International Folk Dancing, 90's Club, Photography, Ping Pong, Pinochle, Tai Chi, Ukulele Lessons and Waltz Dance Lessons. Open to adults 50 years and up. Membership fees are $40.00 per year. Membership entitles you to vote at the General Meeting, the monthly newsletter mailed directly to you and reduced fees for most activities. Receptionists are on duty from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. |
| Mission: | The Mid-County Senior Center is a member-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian center. Currently there are 600 members. MCSC is self-supporting and does not receive funding from the local, state or federal governments. It is run by an 11 member volunteer board. The Center's major goals are to provide social interaction, recreational, educational and health activities for seniors, and to serve the whole community. |
