Description: | PVOIC is a non-profit 501c3 organization started by Patrick Orozco. "Amah-Ka-Tura" (People of the Land) dance group created by Pat Orozco and the Pajaro Valley Ohlone Indian Council to help preserve traditional Ohlone culture. The group travels to grade schools, universities, public events, private schools, state parks, and dedications. FUNDING SOURCE: For many of events, a fee is charged to those with the resources to pay. |
Mission: | Our mission is to bring people together as one, through love, peace and solidarity. We teach our children to love and respect all people. To respect the land and all that Creator has given us. Our members are of Chumash, Salinan, Rumsen, Chipawa, Apache, Esselen, Navajo, Yaqui and Lakota decent also some non-indian. |
