Special Tax to Replace Existing Service Charge Eliminated by the Right to Vote on Taxes Initiative
Shall the County of Santa Cruz be authorized to continue funding to maintain, preserve and provide County parks and open space and operate recreation and cultural programs for children, adults and seniors by replacing the existing annual service charge within County Service Area #11 of $51.68 or more per residential unit, which will be eliminated June 30, 1997, with a special tax of $51.68 per residential unit effective July 1, 1997, through June 30, 2009, including annual consumer price index adjustments not to exceed 3%?
