| Mission: | Monterey Bay Veterans Inc. (MBV) is a volunteer based, non-profit organization which exists to honor and support those who have served and sacrificed for our nation. Ultimately, integration of the physically challenged community into normal daily activities and recreation is the core of MBV's mission. |
| Programs: | MBV provides access to a wide variety of both marine and land based activities. Some of our activities are annual events, such as our rock cod and salmon fishing derbies, tours and supported local major sports and entertainment venues. Other MBV functions are on-demand services provided by request to qualified veterans and community members. All programs are provided at little or no charge to the participants. Freedom Dive Program: diver training and ocean diving access program Freedom Tour: travels to various ports of call up and down the California coast and navigable inland waterways, offering same programs listed On Demand below. On Demand Services: Two boats are available for fishing trips, scuba diving, spreading of ashes with military honors, sightseeing, boating safety courses, whale watching, and marine environmental education. Daily trips for those who qualify, by appointment. P. C. Access: utilizing our wheelchair capable golf carts and vans providing transportation services program for most major events at all major outdoor venues including: Laguna Seca (All major race events and Spirit West) Pebble Beach (ATT Pro-Am, First Tee Open and Concourse d' Elegance) Salina Rodeo Grounds (California rodeo) Salinas Airport (air show) Monterey Fairgrounds (Monterey Jazz Festival) Private Charters Rock Cod Derby Salmon Derby |
