Topics may include child drowning prevention, safety barrier guidelines for home pools and spas; diving safety; pool rules; hot tub risk factors; water quality assurance; basic water rescue techniques for oneself or others; life jackets, wet suits and other protective gear; protection against and treatment of hypothermia; swimming in undertows, rip tides and other strong currents; inshore holes; sneaker waves; dangerous beach and surf conditions; and sharks, jellyfish and other sea denizens.
