Community-based facilities that provide a twenty-four hour, supervised, supportive, drug-free environment in which people who abuse drugs can learn to deal with their lives and remain drug-free upon return to the community. Services may include individual and group counseling and twelve-step and other mutual support groups, drug education and structured social activities which may be available to family members or significant others as well as to residents.
