Programs that provide assistance for wild birds, animals and other creatures who are endangered by fires, oil spills, or water pollution or who are otherwise in distress; that trap wild animals who have wandered into yards and other urban areas and transport them, usually by helicopter, back to their natural habitats; that rescue and rehabilitate whales, dolphins, manatees, seals and other marine creatures who are beached or swimming in unsafe waters; or which reestablish the viability of habitats which have become overcrowded by transporting a portion of the population to new areas.
