As of February 2017, the County is working to prepare preliminary plans for the entire 2 acre site, including concept plans for an outdoor educational program in collaboration with Santa Cruz County Parks, the San Lorenzo Valley Water District and Felton Library Friends.
Next steps will include a community meeting to be scheduled for spring 2017, and then an application will be submitted to the County Planning Department for a development permit. This will be followed by final design, building and other permits and then construction.
