The Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL), Friends of the Aptos Library, Bogard Construction, and Anderson Brulé Architects (ABA) are pleased to announce the Aptos Branch Library Groundbreaking Ceremony from 12:30 – 1 p.m. on June 15,2022.
Speakers at the “Golden Shovel” event include Supervisor Zach Friend, County Administrator Carlos Palacios, Assistant County Administrator Nicole Coburn, ABA Architect Mark Schoeman, Construction Supervisor Jared Bogard, Library Director Yolande Wilburn, and Aptos Library Friends President Gale Farthing. Light refreshments have been generously donated by New Leaf Community Markets.
Attendees should park at the Park and Ride Lot at Resurrection Church, 7600 Soquel Dr. at noon. Bogard Construction will walk people across the street beginning at 12:15 p.m.
