When the Mission Bells Rang - A StoryWalk through Downtown Santa Cruz
Join us on a unique journey through downtown Santa Cruz! You will learn about the Mission experience through the eyes and ears of the Amah Mutsun people and the animals who lived here. Families will go on a "StoryWalk", reading the pages of a wonderful new picture book titled "When the Mission Bells Rang". Pages of the book will be displayed in the windows of various downtown businesses. Start the journey at the Downtown branch, beginning on Saturday, October 8th at 10:00am. Meet us on the corner of Center St. and Locust St., where you will receive your map to begin your StoryWalk. A craft will be provided, too. The StoryWalk will conclude at the Mission State Historical Park. There you will enjoy food and crafts, and meet the author, Judith Scott, who will be signing copies of her book!
