California Driving Permit Test In partnership with Driving-Tests.org, the Santa Cruz Public Libraries is proud to offer FREE California Driver Permit practice tests. The tests cover both automobile and motorcycle, and the site contains the Driver Handbook for each.

Start Smart is an exciting, free class presented by the California Highway Patrol, aimed at helping teenage drivers become more aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver. Parents and/or guardians are required to attend with their teenage driver as they participate in this 2 hour Start Smart class.   Space is limited to 30.
